Your Brigade
Mt Riverview – or “Mt Riv” as it is affectionately known – is one of 23 Rural Fire Service brigades throughout the Blue Mountains.
Our inaugural meeting was held on Thursday 12th December 1968 – during a bushfire season still regarded as one of the worst on Australia’s east coast since European settlement.
Much has changed since then, but one thing that hasn’t is that we are always looking for new members to swell our ranks.
Because of work and family commitments we don’t expect every member to attend every event. We all give our time according to whatever we can.

Bush Fire Survival Plan
Getting ready for a bush fire is easier than you think. By taking 20 minutes with your family to discuss what you’ll do during a fire, you could save their lives, as well as your home.
..and start your discussion.
